Sunset & Dine 2015

I had the pleasure of attending the sold out Sunset & Dine event this week and it was one of my favorite events of the year. I have kids who are quite the little foodies and they love to be my guest at events whenever possible which often isn't possible because most events are 21+ (understandable since there's lots of alcohol at these events), but somehow Sunset & dine managed to pull it off and made families feel very welcomed, while still making it feel like a cool hangout spot for singles and couples. How they did it - I don't know, but the people who put this event together should be putting all the food festivals together.

Children played cornhole and giant Jenga on the grass and helped themselves to all the same food the adults were enjoying. There were large coolers with sodas, juice boxes, and waters for both kids and adults to grab as they wished and for the adults a full bar. The event felt like a large family picnic only with so many great restaurants. It was such a great event and the location I think had a lot to do with it - the space at BuzzFeed Productions Studio provided a cozy and safe environment with lots of benches and grass area for people to sit, eat , laugh and enjoy. The decor was beautiful and the reggae band - "The Lions" - performed on the Ameoba stage. They were so great, absolutely everyone was listening and even dancing. It was a great night.
