For the first time in its nearly 100-year history, LA's iconic Grand Central Market starts a new tradition with Summer Nights featuring a tantalizing mix of evening food and drink, live music, outdoor movies and other entertainment beginning Friday, June 3rdwhen the Market will begin staying open UNTIL 10 P.M. NIGHTLY.

17 Life-Size, Life-Like Dinosaurs at the L.A. Zoo

See them before they extinct again!

 

Explore a previously off-limits part of the Zoo, now home to moving, roaring, snarling, claw-bearing dinosaurs “brought back to life” for a limited time. Along the way, unlock special content and 3D animations through a custom app (available for iPhone and Android devices soon), indulge your inner paleontologist by joining a fossil dig, and learn how the mighty creatures of the Mesozoic era compare with animals of today.

Hollywood & Highland’s annual Jazz & Wine series. Each week, KJazz 88.1 FM curates a free jazz performance in the Hollywood mall’s outdoor courtyard.

 

In addition, you can sample wine by Stella Rosa and appetizers from Wolfgang Puck Catering for only $10 (proceeds benefit Project Angel Food).

A different kind of wildlife takes over the L.A. Zoo for Roaring Nights, our popular summer music series featuring live bands, full bars, and L.A.’s favorite food trucks, plus pop-up zoo keeper talks, special animal encounters, and—for the 2016 season only—the chance to experience Dinosaurs: Unextinct at the L.A. Zoo

June 24: ’90s Night

The fun kicks off with a “tight” ’90s revival, featuring hits of the era performed live by cover band Saved by the ’90s, multi-genre favorites spun by DJ Johnny Hawkes, and a Hip Hop Lounge with DJ Severe, plus a costume contest, classic video games such as Super Mario and Mortal Combat in an Awesome Game Truck, and Jurassic Park-inspired photo op.

July 29: Country Night

You’ll have a good ol’ time tush pushin’ to hits from Keith Urban, Luke Bryan, Jason Aldean, and many more performed live by local favorite Highway Starr. Find your country groove with line-dancing lessonsand test your horseshoe and cornhole skills at the backyard BBQ-style game lawn.

August 26: Indie Night

The high-energy antics of Black Crystal Wolf Kids will have you singing along to the best indie tracks ever—from the likes of Hozier, The Black Keys, Pavement, and The Pixies.

September 16: ’80s Night

Back by popular demand is a most “tubular” night. You’ll have a “radical” time playing vintage video games as well as dancing and singing along to new wave, metal, and old-school hip hop tracks, and more. Fashions of the era are strongly encouraged.
