MOMETU, which stands for "MOre for ME and TU" (Tu - the Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese and Catalan word for You), Just launched their streaming service and to celebrate they hosted an epic party and they sure lived up to their motto by giving us MOre. The food options were endless, way more than any of us could have ever imagined.
The party was hosted at Playa Studios in Culver City, it started with a red carpet cocktail hour complete with tray passed hors d' oeuvres and welcome cocktails . In rotation were rack of lamb, short rib bites, chicken skewers, mini cucumber cups filled with a chunky gazpacho, puff pastry wrapped pigs in a blanket and more. Honestly I couldn't keep track of all of them.
At the Bar they poured A Cali Fino Tequila "Mometu-tini" and /or anything else your heart desired as it was an open bar.
After the cocktail hour was over we moved on to the big room where the main event had even more food in store for us and yet another bar.
There was a grilled cheese station, with tater tots and of course to tomato soup because a grilled cheese without tomato soup just wouldn't be right. Right? Just past the grilled cheese station was a fruit stand and a taco bar complete with all the fixins - chips, salsas, guacamole, and even esquites ( street corn in a cup) and if all that wasn't enough, they had a sushi station - with more sushi than anyone could ever dreamed of. My biggest regret the next morning was not eating more of that sushi.
The d.j.'s - Oso Grande and Jovian spun tunes as guest mingled, ate, and took their turn at the mobile photo booth. Then we were treated to a live comedy show by Jen Kober , which was the perfect entertainment to get a little break from eating.
After we had burned a few laughter calories. The third round of food commenced. The waiters passed around cake pops and s'more sticks and The Real Super Cool made fresh to order Nitro ice cream, that was not only visually super cool, but also super creamy and tasty.
The event concluded with to-go boxes of food and swag bags for all.
The Swag bag itself was a giant canvas beach tote, inside came a large black and white beach towel, some SITK Keto treats and recipes, and a popcorn bucket filled with candy and of course a bag of microwave popcorn. It was the perfect treat for a night-in with Mometu T.V. and movies.
These guys sure do know how to host a party, so you can expect some great t.v. time from them too. Mometu is now available on Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, Google Play, Web, Android and iOS devices.
